My journey started back in Eskilstuna, Sweden when I was 13 years old and refused to be the worst golfer in the family. I grew up with two brothers and we did all kinds of different sports, but the competitor in me couldn't accept the fact that everyone else would be golfing but me. My parents spent countless hours in the car during the summers in Sweden to give me and my brothers the best opportunity to compete and play golf. I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have the support from my family along the way.
I eventually worked my way up the rankings and I got the opportunity to join the Swedish National Team and travel in Europe and compete. That was also when the dream of playing college golf in the US came about and my journey continued when I got the opportunity to attend Arizona State University in 2006 on a scholarship.
Moving to the US was the best thing for my golf career and although I miss home, it has given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I spent 2,5 years at Arizona State University in Phoenix, AZ while still competing on the National Team during the summers back home in Europe. I loved every minute of playing college golf and I was very fortunate to have a successful amateur career.
I decided to leave school early to pursue my dream of playing professional golf. After going thru qualifying school for the LPGA in December 2008, I turned professional and joined both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Its been a crazy ride since and I cant believe that almost 10 years later Im still living this dream, Ive won a major and another 7 events on the LPGA Tour, 2 on the LET, Played on 5 European Solheim Cup Teams (’09,’11,’13,’15,’17) and I also got the opportunity to represent Sweden at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016!
Golf has given me the opportunity to travel the world, do what I love and meet so many incredible people along the way. I have always believed in hard work and even though not everyone believed in me - I believed in myself. I am proud of where my hard work and where my journey has taken me and I hope to inspire other people along the way and I look forward to share this continues journey with all of you!
Thank you all for the support!
